Alstom has just announced the appointment of Mehdi Sahel as Managing Director of Alstom Morocco. Based in Casablanca, he will be responsible for executing Alstom in Motion (AiM) strategy, business expansion and overseeing commercial and operational performance.
Mehdi has successfully held senior management positions in many internationally renowned companies, particularly in the banking, technology and management consulting sectors. He has over two decades of experience both in the region and in Europe, particularly in project management and business development.
Present in Morocco for nearly a century, Alstom is a long-standing partner in the development of mobility in the country. With more than 650 employees, Alstom has carried out several key projects, including the delivery of 190 Citadis X02 trams to the cities of Rabat (66 trams) and Casablanca (124 trams), 12 Avelia Euroduplex trains for the high-speed line which connects Tangier to Casablanca and 77 Prima locomotives providing the best solutions for freight, passenger and mixed transport services.
